Ok so the Longhorns turned in a great performance against top seeded Tulane. Great pitching and timely hitting put Texas in control of bracket two. Tonight, Tulane will face off against Baylor to determine who will face Texas tomorrow.
On the otherside of the bracket the Gators of Florida are in the drivers seat with their surprising victory over "home team" Nebraska. Florida will face scrappy Arizona St. who defeated Nebraska in what might have been the best game of the post season thus far. Nebraska was down 3-5 in the top of the 9th. After a single by all-american Alex Gordon scored a runner from 2nd, Andy Gerch knocked a three run homer over the left field wall, giving the home favorite Cornhuskers a comfortable 7-5 lead. But after a double-play sac fly to bring the score to 7-6, Jeff Larish hit his 3rd homer of the day on the very next pitch to send the game into extra innings. 'Zona State would win off a single in the bottom of the 11th.
In other news, the NBA decided they weren't as dumb as the Hockey league and came to an collective bargaining agreement today.
