The last two days of ACL were hot, the music was great, Coldplay was a spiritual event. I'm just too lazy to tell you any more.
The Astros have continued the incredible trajectory of a team of destiny. The 18 inning, division clinching marathon is only the latest chapter in what might be one of the best stories in baseball this season. Coincidentally, Roger Clemens mentioned in a press conference, after beating Atlanta for the second straight post season, that in his mothers dying days she discussed having a dream about Shoeless Joe Jackson. Might Shoeless Joe and the late Mrs. Clemens be intently watching over a Houston/Chicago World Series? Only time will tell I suppose.
The Rockets have started out the post-season 3-0 defeating the Spurs last night. Stromile Swift displayed his supernatural athletic ability and surely has T-Mac salivating with competive spirit. Highlighted by a half-court ally-oop from T-Mac, Swift had two gravity defying blocked shots. Van Gundy of course sees room for improvement, but thats what makes him JVG and such a sucessful coach.
Finally, the gap b/w Virginia Tech and Texas is now at 71-points. With Florida State stepping through to time machine back to 1995 and losing to a scrappy Virginia team, Georgia and Virginia Tech have settled into the role of BSC-system-fucker-upper. Unless Texas or Viriginia Tech stumble we might see a whole new hurricane of controversy.
That is all.
